MK Grid Plus Switch Kitchen Grid Control Switch Components Multi-Listing
From this listing you can select all of the individual parts required from the drop down box to assemble a "grid switch". These are often used above kitchen workshops to control the various appliances in your kitchen.
Please note:-
a. To complete a grid switch assembly you need the following parts:-
Switch(es)
Grid Yoke(s)
A cover plate
Possibly a special back box
b. Each grid module (e.g. switch, blank, fuse holder etc) takes up one "gang" on your cover plate. So if you have selected 4 switches you need one 4 gang cover plate or 2 x 2 gang cover plates etc.
c. The "grid yokes" similarly have to match up in number. For the 6 gang you need two x 3 gang grid yokes and for the 8 gang you need two x 4 gangs.
d. 1 gang to 4 gang assemblies fit into standard 1 and 2 gang back boxes (60.3mm and 120.6mm fixing centres) which are widely available.
e. For the 6 gang and 8 gang plates you need a special back box (see dimensions below). The back boxes are generic and may be supplied from any manufacturer. All of the different brands fit each other and they are the same general dimensions.
