King Yax-Pac, Incised Bone Description: The image of the last ruler
of copan, Yax-Pac is inscribed on this bone. the bone was found sealed
in a deep shaft in the floor of the central chamber of structure 11,
along with obsidian blades, bird bones and human teeth.
this deer tibia is inscribed with simple text: an eroded introductory
verb, followed by yax-pac's name at b1; at b2-a3, he is named as a
three-katun ahau; a batab title completes the inscription. an unnamed
woman at left, is dressed in a jaguar pelt skirt. both stand on skyband
symbols, but he is supported and elevated by a large venus symbol.
