This CD contains The Companion Bible written by Ethelbert William Bullinger. This reference text contains well over 2,000 pages, and also includes the Appendices to the Companion Bible, which is 500 pages all by itself.

This book is meant for Bible study and was produced over a century ago by E.W. Bullinger. This is the King James version. Each page is split up into 2 sections, one is the King James Bible and the other size is Bullinger's commentary. Bullinger's notes allow you to break the bible down into an easier to follow outline and allow you to get a deeper understanding of it.

The appendices contain small essays and charts that cover everything form Greek grammar, to Hebrew customs and figures of speech. Bullinger's appendices all give you a much deeper understanding of the bible. He is controversial, but offers historical and biblical proof for all of his statements.

Bullinger let his work speak for itself. His comments reflect the time period in which he lived, the late 1800's, and reflect the many Christian theorues that were popular in his time, but seem outdated now.

He was born in Canterbury, Kent, England, the youngest of five children of William and Mary (Bent) Bullinger. His family traced their ancestry back to Heinrich Bullinger, the Swiss Reformer.

His formal theological training was at King's College London from 1860–1861, earning an Associate degree. After graduation, on October 15, 1861, he married Emma Dobson, thirteen years his senior. He later received a Doctor of Divinity degree in 1881 from Archibald Campbell Tait, Archbishop of Canterbury who cited Bullinger's "eminent service in the Church in the department of Biblical criticism."

Bullinger's career in the Church of England spanned 1861 until 1888. He began as associate curate in the parish of St. Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey in 1861, and was ordained as a priest in the Church of England in 1862. He served as parish curate in Tittleshall from 1863–1866; Notting Hill from 1866–1869; Leytonstone, 1869–1870; then Walthamstow until he became vicar of the newly established parish of St. Stephen's in 1874. He resigned his vicarage in 1888.

In the spring of 1867, Bullinger became clerical secretary of the Trinitarian Bible Society, a position he would hold till his death in 1913.

This CD-ROM contains all of these books in PDF format, for viewing only in your computer. This CD cannot be played on the CD player hooked up to your TV or stereo.

In an effort to keep our costs down, that are passed along as low prices to you, all of our disks are packaged and shipped in economic sleeves and mailers. All of our disks are labeled with a clean label and some graphics. The disks are made this way for speed and cost, which translates into lower cost for you. We focus our efforts on the quality of the material on the disk. We do not believe in charging you an extra 3 or 4 dollars like some companies out there just to throw in a 25 cent plastic case and slap a color label on an item. We believe you purchase for content, and ours is the best, although we still believe you will be pleased with the presentation.

The only explanation we can come up with is that it must be stuck in some container in some dock waiting on customs clearance. It happens, and for those 20% of customers, we apologize, but there is very little we can do about that. Your disk will arrive or we will replace it.
