Up for Buy-It-Now is a new old stock gear shift tube upper extension, Nash part number 99439. This item was obtained from an old service garage and is not a newly remanufactured part. According to my Nash Manual, this is used on the following models and years:
1939 Nash...Series 10, 20, 80 Lafayette 6, Ambassador 6 & Ambassador 8.
The extension is in brand new, never used condition and is free of any damage. It does have some minor surface rust on it from many years of shelf storage. May or may not need a light polishing up before installation. Cast on the piece is 99439.
