Undated at publication BUT, with the list of the (then) 11 available Observer's Books printed within, and comparing with the list below, you can see that only the first 11 books, those up to 1949, were in the shops.

There is a neat, dated gift inscription immediately within (1950) that is further confirmation. 

The book is VGC+, but the dustjacket is incomplete, missing it's spine section
