WWII 1940 Military Signalling Oil Lamp by E K Bowman Ltd

A nice WWII period military issue steel bodied Signalling oil lamp in good condition.

The lamp is very similar to a railway version, but is painted dark green. There is a brass plaque with E.K. BOWMAN LONDON NW, with the date 1940 and the War Department broad arrow. Inside the oil burner is made by SHERWOODS LTD. It has a small parabolic reflector to point the light through the circular lens. There is also a rotating cylinder with a choice of blue and red filter. One of the spring tabs, on the outside fixing post has become detached, but is still present.
