Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support for Macbooks with Ethernet - New

Description

Mini DisplayPort to HDMI with Ethernet

Mini-DisplayPort is a miniaturized version of DisplayPort, the newest digital display interface developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). Most newer Macbook series laptops come equipped with the Mini DisplayPort interface for external video displays. Check your laptop to make sure it has the Mini DisplayPort connection.

This eight-inch adapter is for use with a standard HDMI cable (male to male). Connect the cable to your machine using the adapter, then connect to an external monitor or other display device with HDMI input jacks, and you're all set.

Features

Adapter cable features a Mini DisplayPort connector and a female HDMI connector
Compatible with Mac laptops that use a Mini DisplayPort port for video output
Some source devices allows audio output through the Mini DisplayPort
Eight-inch cable length
Supports full HD display at 1080p (1920 x 1080)

Audio Support Settings:

The computer must support audio over the Mini DisplayPort. To find out if your Apple computer does, go to System Profiler (option-click the Apple menu, System Profiler), click the audio tab, and under the outputs should be listed: "HDMI / DisplayPort Output."

If it is not listed, it is not supported.

If your computer supports the audio via the Mini DisplayPort, you must select your TV as the output device. To do this, either option-click the audio menu icon and select it under "Audio Device:," or go to System Preferences (Apple menu -> System Preferences) -> Sound -> Output and select it.
