selection this unique Rare Mid-Century Rubina Murano Diamond Quilted Handled Basket by Chalet Artistic Glass Company designed by Master Glass Blower Sergio Pagnin ~ Circa 1962. Three Master Glass Blowers from Italy came to Canada in 1955 forming the company first called Les Industries de Verre et Miroirs, second name was Murano Glass, after a fire in 1961 the name was changed to Chalet Artistic Glass til its closing in 1975. The masters were Angelo and Luigi Tedesco and Sergio Pagnin. Stunning as the light reflects thru the ruby glass and the faces of the men prunts. This wonderful Deco Style hand blown vase has three face prunts attached to classic chinese shape, showing the strong design of the mid-century age. Superb streamlined design and quality to glass ~ Made in Canada with High Style Design of the Eames Era.
Measurements: 11" Ht. x 3 1/2" Dia. at across opening x 5 3/4" Widest Dia. x 2 3/4" Dia. at base. Unmarked with polished pontil and fire polished top opening rim. No chips, cracks or restorations, few air bubbles in the making. Note: Shipping is higher the vase weighs 6 lbs. before packing, and will be double-boxed for safe arrival.
