All
spokes are custom cut in house on our factory grade shear and die
equipped Spoke Cutting and Threading Machine. I currently offer these
spokes in sizes from 220-270mm cut to any length you require to the
nearest mm. Threads are rolled, not cut, meaning no stress risers are
formed, using exactly the same process as high end factory produced
spokes whilst allowing us to check thread quality more regularly.
Butted spokes save weight, and greatly increase the fatigue life
of a well built wheel. Likewise unless Silver is your aesthetic of
choice the process of blackening spokes adds a further chemical barrier
(a quality spoke is never painted) between spoke and nipple materials
and thus they are more resistant to corrosion within the thread.
I
ship these with Sapim's Polyax 12mm Nickle Plated Silver Brass Nipples
as standard for free: I find them superior to DT's offering and thread
pitch is a standard 56tpi throughout all spokes.. You have the option of
changing to longer nipples for deep v type rims should you need them,
or upgrading to Sapim's excellent 7075 T6 Heat Treated Aluminum Nipples
either in Silver or Anodised colours: Black, Red, Gold, Purple, Green,
Blue. If choosing these options then please state colours and length
when stating spoke length. I use and suggest Sapim's anodised alloy
nipples on all performance based wheelbuilds; they are superior to any I
have ever used adding both weight saving, corrosion resistance and a
touch of colour.Should you require any spoke or nipple washers for your build then they can also be found on my store.
