If you are using it for the single filament 3156, you just need to use the red and black wires and leave the third wire un-used.
This is a universal fit product so under certain circumstances, you might still have to modified the socket or adapter slightly to get it fit. Because of this, we highly recommend you to double check the photos in this product listing to make sure the adapter is that same as your stock one to ensure an exact direct fit replacement.
