It includes essays on the world-famous Soviet clown Vitaly Lazarenko, Vladimir Durov, pencils,  Akram Yusupov, Oleg Popov, Yuri Nikulin and Mikhail Shuydin, Leonid Yengibarov. The author tells about the life and work of the great masters of the circus,  which were always the clowns-publicists, spokesmen of the progressive ideas of his time.
