Gorgeous VICTORIAN HAND PAINTED ROSES ~ It is a CREME DE LA CREME example of late 19th Century American oil lamps. Almost all of the lamps of this type have been molested in someway - but this one is totally complete. The hand painting on this lamp is truly from a master artist!! The roses are SO LIFELIKE on this lamp and were hand painted and fired into the glass. WHAT AN AMAZING LAMP!!! This lamp is fully painted on both sides as shown in the pictures! This lamp is a wonderful example of these type of lamps. All original parts with outstanding FANCY handled font ring. It is in working oil lamp condition however, we can electrify the top for you (switch on the cord - no drilling or molestation required - you can very easily take it back to oil), for an additional $25.00 charge, without damage to the lamp if you wish.
Dimensions (widest points noted): complete lamp is approximately 26" tall (to the top of the chimney). The ball shade is approximately 10 1/2" in diameter.
