Cut lengths available are as follows; 1 Mtr, 2 Mts, 3 Mts, 5 Mts, 10 Mts, 15 Mts and 25 Mtrs.

If you require other lengths please buy the appropriate combinations and we will send you out one cut length to your requirements.

The cable sold will be from leading cable manufacturers like Prysmian, Draka, IDH or CCC.

Conduit wiring cable, a brief guide

6491X cable is a single core, low voltage insulated cable manufactured in accordance with BS EN 50525-2-21 (previously BS6004). It is available from us as a Class 2 stranded copper conductor (harmonisation code: H07V-R). These are suitable for power and lighting circuits and general building wiring.

6491X cable is intended for use in a closed installation, i.e. trunking (metal or PVC), cable ducts, and in surface, embedded or semi-flush exposed conduits. It is designed to be easily drawn into conduit and trunking, and it is ideal for the internal wiring of appliances in an enclosed and protected environment. It should not be used without a secondary protective sheath or cover.

Larger sizes of 6491X cable (16mm and 25mm.) are generally used to link main MCCB distribution boards and 63a to 100a sub-main distribution boards via steel surface mounted trunking in mains room situations.

When used as an earthing or earth bonding cable (green/yellow) 6491X cable may be used without a protective sheath or cover.

This cable has a voltage rating of 450/750V and an operating temperature range of -15^oC to +70^oC.

The cable is made from high quality stranded annealed copper conductors and covered in a PVC (Polyvinylchloride) sheath

General purpose 6491X cable is mainly used in commercial and industrial wiring of power and lighting circuits and domestically as an earthing or bonding conductor.

• Care must be taken with the packaging of returned goods. Please do not apply tape to the boxes the goods were supplied in.

• If damage is found on returned goods, we reserve the right to refuse the return.

We can only accept the original goods in their original condition. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement as a result of unnecessary handling on your part. We reserve the right not to accept the return.
