The front glass is not for sale. This is a "How-to-Guide" intended for C11 owner who wants to replace the front glass but some of knobs are too tight to come off.

C11 is a great pre-amp. It sounds wonderful. Many proud owners prefer C11 over the C22. But there is one catch. Some knobs are too tight to come off. Therefore the front glass cannot be replaced.

Tight knob is a common problem in McIntosh C11. Do not pull the knobs too hard, because too much force could damage the selector or the potentiometer. They are hard to find component.

Try to remove all knobs from your C11 first to see if they can come off easily. If they can come off, then all you need is to get a front glass. If some of the knobs are too tight to come off, then you may want to try our method.

In this listing, we offer a 5 page instruction printed in black and white to show you how to replace the front glass of your C11 when some knobs won't come off.

The instruction describes two methods, with step-by-step instructions, pictures, where to find parts...etc.

The procedure is intended for experienced restorer. Buyer will need tools, skills and time to complete the procedure.

Buyer will receive a copy of 5 page instruction printed in black and white. Nothing more. Send by airmail. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
