Gareth Sager, singer and multi-instrumentalist of The Pop Group from Bristol, in concert in Eksit, Rotterdam 16-03-1980.
On stage in Rotterdam during a package gig with The Slits, who were touring with them many times at that time. Apart from sharing their drummer Bruce Smith, they also released records on the same label and even a joint 7” single.
Since their reformation in 2010 they released some reissues but the real come-back was their well received new album ‘Citizen Zombie’ from 2015, now followed by ‘Zipperface’.
The venue Eksit was one of the best underground locations for about 12 years but didn’t survive the fire from 1982. In it’s days it housed many iconic bands like Sex Pistols, Blondie, The Jam and The Police. Since then, despite several attemps, up till today Rotterdam unfortunately never had a similar venue again.

Marc Tilli graduated from art school in the 80’s as a designer. Those days, he took photos while attending gigs in the alternative music circuit in The Netherlands, followed by taking pictures of buildings, artists and designers.
