30mm Bottom Bracket Spindle Spacers
Item Description
In our retail store, we install Cannondale's Hollowgram crankset system on nearly every new bicycle we build. Historically, we have stocked every single small replacement part needed to either retrofit, or accommodate these systems on just about any frame platform imaginable. Cannondale does a good job of categorizing (and making available) all of the parts needed for fresh installations and maintenance aside for one - the tricky spindle spacers, which vary depending on numerous factors including shell width, chain-line and ring configuration, and spindle width. You could purchase a complete bottom bracket which would include the appropriate spacers, but if you wanted to do a custom install or if you lost one - you were SOL.
With the introduction of the new 109mm Road and 137mm Mountain spindle standards - the formula used to determine the correct spindle configuration became even more tricky.

It got to the point that we ended up needing to fabricate the spacers needed for certain applications. We kept getting phone calls, emails and visits from consumers wanting spacers - and we had to turn them down, which more often than not led to using stacked plastic "shims", which are really a band-aid for a clean and accurate setup; we simply didn't have any extra's we could afford to spare outside of our shop use - unit now!

To solve the problem, we went to our friends who own a Government-contracted, Aerospace, ISO certified fabricator to make us exactly what we needed. What we ended up with is what you see here in this listing. The only BB30 spindle spacers intended specifically for Cannondale applications that are commercially available. Made to our exacting specifications - and based on Cannondale's tech-handbook sizing for appropriate spacing on nearly every new, and legacy platform ever made.

How do I know Exactly Which Spacers I need?
We have created a tech diagram which is available on our website, however below you will see a cheat-sheet for the most popular road and mountain configurations. You can also measure the spindle-gap. Most systems allow for frame/bearing tolerance of +/- 2mm or so; you can micro-tune these gaps with traditional BB30 "shims"
