The Michel Perchin MP5 Fountain pen was inspired by Faberge’s Blue Serpent Clock Egg. This piece was presented to Empress Maria Fedorovna in 1887, by her husband Tsar Alexander III.

During a visit to Russia, Consuelo Vanderbilt, the Duchess of Marlborough saw the Imperial Blue Serpent Clock Egg. Shortly thereafter, Faberge was commissioned to recreate the design, and it was completed in 1902 in Pink and Gold. This piece was the only egg to be made for an American.

The barrel and all metal parts including the Serpent Clip of this marvelous piece of art are sculpted from .925 sterling silver. This piece is engraved using a unique process resulting in independent strokes around the barrel to form the guilloche pattern.
Available in three dazzling enamel colors Royal Blue/Mystic Blue Acrylic/22kt Yellow Gold, Ruby Red/Jet Black Acrylic 22kt Yellow Gold and Coronation Yellow/Jet Black Acrylic/Rhodium.  This pen is the Blue color.

Each Michel Perchin MP5 is limited in production to only 188 of each color. This collection is now sold out!
