Sony SYSCON 353CD+ – (SYSCON stands for SYStem CONtrol)

Bought in Japan in 1984 (original owner)
Excellent cosmetic condition
A historically significant piece – reluctantly selling only for a valued price.
Futuristic modern touch-pad buttons yet still tactile with a slight click for activation

Three units need repair

The included components are :

TC-V7:  K7 cassette deck recorder                               (220V)
ST-V7:  AM/FM Tuner                                                    (220V)
PS-FL99:  Front Loading Linear Tracking Turntable     (120V)    unique tray for the record opens like a CD drawer (some visible wear on touch-pad buttons)
APM-700:  Speakers (woofers are out)
+
CDP-101:  First commercial production CD player        (120V)
Touch sensitive buttons creates an aesthetic fast forward and rewind sound that was lost on future CD players.
(check wikipedia for historic description: Sony_CDP-101)

Two remote controls, all manuals as well as original box for PS-FL99 and CDP-101 included

Issues:
Three units buyer would need to repair are:
(1) TC-V7 cassette deck motor is weak and needs replacement
(2) CDP-101 CD player was stored away fully functional 15 years ago but after recent testing and working a couple of times, an issue has appeared with the tray not opening (I suspect motor replacement issue)
(3) APM-700 speakers woofers have decayed by storage, though tweeters seem fine. The housing is in excellent condition so I included speakers in this package to make them complete.

Voltage converter:
Since this item was purchased from Japan, US buyer will need to buy a voltage converter for the 220V units:
TA-V7, ST-V7, TC-V7 which can be daisy chain plugged with only one plug to the outlet.
Google and/or search Amazon for "voltage converters" available
.
