Although dogs don’t see the world in the same way as people, one thing that both species have in common is that they experience changes to vision as a result of the ageing process. One sign of deteriorating eyesight can be a reluctance to go outside at night. A progressive decline in visual acuity as a dog gets older is to be expected, and usually does not pose any significant problems.
