From my late mother’s description, as shown in one photo, and attached to the doll (with some words I struggled to read; corrections are welcome):

21 inch China head, black hair, red linen, wooden hands and legs, cloth body, chemise pantaloons, petticoat, all feather stitched & crochet edges. Red dress with bustle (2 pieces), gored (?) skirt with ruffle and braid, over skirt draped in back, waist bound in black lace, lace ruffle and braid at sleeve, lace and braid at neck, watch at waist, pocket book, hat sequin and red velvet ribbon drape, black tie.

My best guess is that my mother assembled this doll from components she bought and others she made in the period from the 1960s into the 1980s. In the photos, I probably have her hat misarranged. The China head is old, or could be a reproduction.
