This listing is for a 1962 BATTERY OPERATED FRED FLINTSTONE'S BEDROCK BAND w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in perfect working order. Overall condition is excellent - mint. Mechanism is strong. Tin litho, plastic and clothing are nice. Battery compartment is clean. Drum is in excellent condition. The front and rear of the drum still have the clear cellophane covering intact. The 4 correct actions of this toy are as follows: (1) Left arm plays the snare drum, (2) Right arm plays the cymbal, (3) Left foot plays the cymbals, (4) Right foot plays the bass drum. This toy has been tested and works perfectly. No disappointments. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is pictured & listed on page 81. It is a 1962 era toy made by the Alps Co. and distributed by Frankonia Toys. It has a rarity of 4 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $850.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is original and in very good - excellent condition. It does have a few clear tape repairs on the inside of the lid. This toy can also be found in Schroeder's Collectible Toys Price Guide, copyright 1996, second edition. It is listed on page 53.
