Purchased by myself as a photographic resale item because it was a

 Usable

ITEM: Ilex Paragon series S 8 1/2" lens or 215mm at F:4.5 No. 50157 with a steinheil Aperture assembly from a V-Quinon, 10 blades!

MECHANICALLY: For large format cameras, covers at least 5x7" view cameras sharply. The glass is in good shape for its age. BUT, the diaphram is missing! Make a mental note of this fact! Fast lens in 215mm F:4.5 some very fine scratches in the coating which is to be expected for this age lens. No haze, or fungus, just minor  fine dust. No thread on front ring. Slip over measures 63mm for shades and the Steinheil V-Quinon. So someone was using a 10 bladed aperture mount from a Steinheil V-Quinon F:210mm lens. I will include this in the sale. it slips over the front of the Ilex paragon and works well from F:5.6~32. You just pull them apart easily or place on, the choice is yours. Back thread for lens boards on the Paragon lens  is 64x1mm. There is a thread on the front of the Steinheil it = 55x0.75mm. Questions just ask!

Optics: Optics are coated and clear, with very minor fine scratches and minor dust from cleaning.

Use: Process lens or large Format 5x7" back lens , but has has no shutter!
