1 gm of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) Powder

Chemical Formula: C59H90O4

Appears as a yellow/orange very fine powder.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a naturally occurring, fat soluble compound that was first discovered in 1957 by a biochemist and professor Frederick Crane.  Research was continued by Dr. Karl Folkers and others at Merck, where they identified its chemical structure among other things.  Both of these individuals are often recognized for the discovery of CoQ10, but it was Dr. Folkers who went on to pursue further research on CoQ10.  Research continued to expand across the world as more of its health benefits

were discovered.

It has been known for some time that CoQ10 plays a significant role in human health and supplementation, highlighted by its role as a very effective antioxidant.  Its benefits to the skin are relatively new knowledge.

The topical application of CoQ10 has been shown to provide antioxidant effects, soothe the skin, and may support increased collagen production and reduce the visual effects of aging.

Studies show that CoQ10:

Shields skin from environmental damage , Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles , Reduces dryness , Smoothes skin texture

Recommended use level: 1%

CoQ10 is oil soluble , but it can be dissolved in a few drops of alcohol, then add to cream and stir. 1 gm of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) Powder should be enough to Add to 4 oz cream or serum for a 1% CoQ10 serum or cream.

On addition of CoQ10 to a serum or cream base, the serum or cream turns yellowish orange in color. When the serum or cream is applied on the skin, slight yellow color is observed which disappears as the serum or cream is rubbed in.
