The body, bridge and jack plate together weigh only 4lbs 6 ounces on my postal scale. It is a highly resonant body!!! Also, please note that, unlike most Stratocaster bodies, this one is NOT routed for a trem. It has a fixed bridge that is gereally refered to as a "hard tail."
