This is the fiddle I played for many years. It's a full size (4/4) 4-string acoustic violin with the original Mike Cross bridge pickup and Aubert bridge. It's a unique pickup that artists such as Johnny Gimble, Dale Morris, Calvin Volrath, and many others use. It has a lot of output and very rich full sound. I never had much problem with feedback and very little messing around with EQ. Very balanced from string to string. There are no cracks to violin wood, nor scratches. Varnish on the left middle bout and above the plug-in hole has been compromised by an unknown factor, perhaps a spilt liquid. It has lost its shine in the form of a stain. Photos unable to capture this. The Knilling case is in poor condition as is the bow.
