Hello. Up for your consideration this week is a Carl Zeiss Jena DDR MC Flektogon 50mm f/4 wide-angle lens in Pentacon Six mount complete with generic front/rear lens caps. Lens Serial # 8813. The housing of this particular lens in good condition exhibiting some normal signs of use that includes some blemishing, scratching, and loss of finish on the more vulnerable of surfaces. The focus is buttery smooth and the aperture blades are dry and free from oil contamination. Each click of the aperture ring is well-defined. The diaphragm is not working correctly and as such will need to be repaired, or the lens will need to be shot wide-open. The optical glass is clean and free from fungi, haze, separation, coating flaws, and blemishing. A penlight reveals some speckles of internal dust, some bubbling of the cement along the internal lens elements, and some fine cleaning marks on the front element. None of these defects will have any affect upon the rendered image quality. Both of the lens caps are in good functional condition.
