With this Database it was possible to find countless new variants and to determine the actual rarity degree of golden ducats.

Only the best illustrations, some exclusively for this book, were used and printed in the highest possible (some 19^th century photos were digitally restored) quality.

The Seven United Provinces (Netherlands) were during their Independence War the first Nation to understand the importance of United trade. (The VOC, World's first Multinational and EIC (East india Company) were the trading companies.

They also understood that a stable currency was the key for this trade. They used coins (Lion Daalder, Ducaton (Silver Rider) , Gold Ducat, Golden Rider) minted by all Provinces, with strict rules for weight, fineness and appearance. (The fineness of the coins was needed for specific Trade areas).

The Dutch Gold Ducat was the key coin for trade with Eastern Europe and India (VOC) for Centuries. Despite the fact it was one of the most important currencies, there was never a thorough investigation of these coins. All catalogues give the same values for different years and an unique specimen is often the same price as a common date.

A Polish Dutch cooperation (Jasek / Decazo1) will change that.

Decazo1 digitized 95% of all major Dutch Auction catalogues after 1945 and over 150 pre W II ones from 1880 onwards. This files were used by Dariusz F. Jasek to fill in missing and rarity data in his database of 20.000  records.
