If your headlight motor continues to run for a few seconds with a terrible grinding noise after closing or opening the headlight doors, then my rebuild service is what you need.
This listing is for one 2000-2004 Chevrolet Corvette OEM headlight motor rebuild service with heavy duty aluminum drive gear upgrade for the left or right side. NOTE: If you prefer a brass gear rather than aluminum then just message me and I will upgrade for free. If you need both left and right-side motors rebuilt, then please select two (2) items.
NOTE: Some very early production 2000 Corvettes used the 97-99 style headlight and motor assemblies that are slightly different from the newer style. The motors in these assemblies have a different bolt pattern and do not interchange. If you have a 2000 Corvette, please verify which kind you have before ordering (see pics). The 2000-2004 style motors came from the factory with a rubber boot on top of the motor that covers the manual override knob. Anyone who knows auto parts knows that as our cars age the quality of replacement parts often declines especially after ten years. OEM parts are the best quality you will ever find therefore a properly re-manufactured OEM headlight motor is the best long-term solution to solve your headlight motor problems. There are several options out there to buy cheap Chinese made replacements, but I can assure you they are NOT the same quality as OEM!!
These quality remanufactured OEM headlight motors are completely disassembled, cleaned, and fully rebuilt to OEM specifications or better. The housing components are bead blasted and repainted with two coats of semi-gloss black paint when necessary. The nylon plastic gear is replaced with a new CNC machined, hard anodized aluminum gear that will NEVER fail like the original plastic gears. This gear upgrade will fortify the main weakness in these OEM motors which is the plastic drive gear. With this upgrade you will likely NEVER have to worry about your headlight motors for the life of your car!! If you are paying a shop to change the motors, then you don't want to do this again!! All motors are fully tested before shipment.

OPTION # 1 CORE EXCHANGE (This is a great way to keep your classic Corvette all original with GM original parts)
Send in your core motor(s) to be rebuilt/remanufactured. Ship to: Stanley Miller, 56020 Farmington Drive, Middlebury, IN 46540. You will also receive a message after your purchase with instructions. This option does not require a core charge. Turnaround time is less than a week.
OPTION #2 REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE DEPOSIT
With this option you will receive an already rebuilt OEM motor (specify left or right) or motors (left and right if you purchase two). This option requires an additional $75 per motor refundable core charge deposit billed separately (or visit my eBay store). The core charge is fully refundable if you return your rebuildable core motor after replacing it with the reman motor(s) (free return shipping if the cores are returned within 30 days). Send us a message through eBay messages with your email address to send the core charge invoice. The core charge is the only way to assure a constant supply of rebuildable motors for our friends in the Corvette community and also keeps them out of our landfills.
