Vintage Gray's Pottery Stoke-on-Trent England SHIP Mug
I love the mug's front which is graced with ship (Black & White), while the finish is
a splashed lustre in purple with a strong copper sheen when rotated in
the light, the copper tone comes through dominantly in an iridescent
fashion.
Gray's Pottery continued a long tradition of the use of verses on
a wide range of products from the mid-1940s through into the 1950s.
Many of the designs were destined for the North American market. This
cup has their mark "N3" which was used from 1933-61.
Mug is 3.25" high.
