SEIKO TUNA 7549-7009 MENS 600m GOLDEN TUNA PROFESSIONAL DIVER'S WATCH

Vintage Seiko Professional Tuna 7549-7009 Men's 600m Divers Watch with all original parts.     The Golden Tuna was Seiko's first Quartz Professional Divers Watch and proved to be a real breakthrough in the divers watch field.  An example of this legendary watch was strapped the the Japanese Submarine "Shinkai" and brought to a depth of 1,062M and suffered no catastrophic failure.  This particular Golden Tuna has a serial number 5D0346 and was manufactured in December 1985 and is in 100% completely original parts with no aftermarket or replaced parts- the Diver Strap is a replacement Z-22 Straight Vent with a Signed Seiko Gold buckle.

Considering that the watch is now over 33 years old the Golden Tuna is in remarkable shape for its age.    Dial and Hands are in good condition with slight oxidation of the original hands and slight discoloration of the lume material.  Original Lume material - not relumed.  Dial is showing a few light marks including a small mark above the day/date calendar window (can be seen right above the U in SUN)  and a small mark to the dial at approximately the 11 minute mark near the chapter dial ring where it looks like it has been very lightly touched up by the previous owner.   Crystal is in perfect condition with no scratches or wear. Golden Titanium Nitride Case, Caseback, and Crown in great shape with only a few very light marks.  Titanium Shroud is in excellent condition with no chips or wear with only a few light marks from use (very rare to see an original Shroud in great shape like this one).    Bezel operates very smoothly with solid clicks. Bezel Insert is in very good condition with only light scratches from normal use.  Original 7549 Japan Quartz movement is running great and keeping excellent time. Service History is unknown. Z-22 Strap is in excellent condition with no signs of wear. 

The Seiko 7549-7009 Golden Tuna has become one of the Most Respected Quartz Dive Watches every made.  A Seiko classic that has withstood the test of time.  Many Golden Tunas have been used as a Professional diving watch by owners and have lived a very hard life with water damage and extensive wear to the case and shroud.  This Golden Tuna is in remarkably very good all original condition.  You just don't see many Vintage Tunas like this - a great example of an Iconic Watch.
