This is the original 3DR solo payload release/bait drop complete kit. This unit is BLACK.

These are great for dropping bait right over the big fish, maybe dropping water balloons on the neighbors barbecue, or as a life saving device able to drop things to a person in distress.

This kit includes

1) A custom designed, premium 3D printed payload release(0.20mm resolution, 4 shells with 50% infill. Very strong and light) with servo installed.

2) Servo pig tail with female end(quick connect can be left out side body of drone so the unit can be removed at anytime with nothing more than a screw driver)

3) 2-M2 bolts with washers(these fit the existing holes on solo for payload accessories).

4) 3M Double sided tape

5) Heat shrink for end of servo wires.

It operates on existing RC channels and is triggered by the pause button on the stock Solo controller. A five to seven second push to close the drop and secure payload, then one tap of the pause button to release payload.

This is also made to fit in factory solo back pack and work with Polar Pro lights, as to not interfere with the accessories port on the bottom that the lights plug into.

Keep in mind the Solo platform can only carry 25oz with nothing on it according to the manufacturer. This payload release kit is very strong and light, weighing in complete at only 1.2oz. That leaves 23.8 oz for cargo and camera. But as most Solo owners know, it's more than likely capable of more.

The installation of this will require a few tools, and some confidence in your DIY abilities, this is NOT plug and play. It requires opening Solo and will void any warranty because it's not a factory Solo accessory. But it works great and is easy enough for someone that has a little soldering experience.

1)A steady hand

2)Small Phillips head screw driver

2)Soldering iron

4)Solder

5)Maybe a drill depending on how you would like to run the wire outside of the body. (No drill is required if you run it out one of the holes near the camera).

6)A newer wifi capable android device or windows computer. One of these will only be used for 1 minute of the installation and the program needed is free.

I will send instructions with the kit on how to install with pictures as well as the install video.
