Made of durable plastic, the Vio-Meter is a quick and efficient way for teachers to determine the correct instrument size for their students.

Simply place the chinrest side of the meter as you would a violin under the students chin and extend the arm gauge so that the ball end of the extending arm reaches the middle of the players left palm.

The recommended violin size is then displayed along the gauge by the black dot which falls within the different lines for the different violin sizes.

Should the measurement tend towards the lower half of the given area, the teacher may elect to use use a smaller size violin and similarly, if the student measures in the upper half of the are, the teacher may choose the size bigger.

The sizes on the Bio-Meter have been determined through scientific analysis of violins made by violinmakers throughout the world which can slightly vary from maker to maker and a median size has been calculated and used on the Bio-Meter gauge.
