Up for your consideration this week from my personal collection is a gorgeous Leica M6 Classic 35mm M-Mount rangefinder camera body complete with a Leica front lens cap. Camera Serial # 2287885. The housing of this particular camera is generally in excellent condition exhibiting some brightlining and blemishing on the more vulnerable of surfaces. There are two small dings along the right hand edge of the top plate between the frame counter and the strap lug. There is also one small deeper scratch on the film advance arm and adjacent part of the top plate. As to be expected there is some more noticeable blemishing on the baseplate and the film door of the camera. The leathette covering is complete and unscathed. The shutter times well on all of the settings and both of the shutter curtains are clean and free from defects. The film advance is smooth and the frame counter advances and resets as it should. The frame preview lever functions as it should and the bright frame lines are crisp and readily discernible. The view through the finder is clean and useable despite a few minor internal speckles of dust. The built-in light meter is responding to light and reads consistent with my personal equipment. The rangefinder is accurate in alignment as well as operation and the rangefinder patch is bright and constrasty.
