After a lot of development work Holden fans , I can finally offer CORRECT reproduction Power Steering hoses for all models EH-HZ.
These hoses feature the CORRECT ferrules and swaging patterns EXACTLY as original ( see pictures ). The pressure hose is a double textile reinforced hose as per original specification to allow excellent flexibility and quietness. It is a USA made hose and is rated for transmission/power steering fluid use as well as the pressure and temperature assosciated with power steering operation. Unfortunately the hose is not available in the original rough herringbone outer texture , but it does have a herringbone pattern showing through from the reinforcement. This is the closest specification hose to original available anywhere in the world. I have also seen and owned original and NOS hoses that are both smooth or ribbed too so they were not all rough skin hoses from new!!
All of the fittings are Australian made with Australian labour and steel and the hoses are assembled and swaged right here in sunny Melbourne!
These hoses have been pressure tested to 3000 psi static pressure with a further 1000 psi pulse applied , i.e. , held at 3000 psi and repeatedly "bounced" to 4000 psi over a period of time with no leakage , distortion or failure. On a good day your pump will only produce about 850 psi and only then when you hold it against the bump stops with the belt squealing !
These are the pump to box hoses to suit HQ models with 350 V8 engines. These are a near perfect reproduction of the original GMH parts. Please see pictures compared to original hoses. The original hoses are for comparison only and do not form part of this listing.
