This auction is for an extremely rare and old pre WW2 military OMEGA wristwatch directly from the 1930s. This is one of the true vintage, military and classic models dating back to pre WWII.
The watch is fitted with a caliber Omega 26.5 SOB T2 manual wind movement with 15 Jewels. This movement has entered into production in 1933 and was in production through WWII era with a Breguet hairspring and bimetallic screw balance.
The cal. 26.5 SOB is very reliable and has been used in many famous Omega models as Omega Officer and other watches made for civil and military purposes. Its Ref. Numbers is "8146617" (you can use it to check the movement age) which refers to 1935.

Despite more than 80 years of age it is in absolutely great shape and runs smoothly. It comes with nice crystal and new strap bars. The watch measures 31mm without the crown and 37mm lug to lug. The dial has some old patina and imperfections to its age but it's the original Omega CK 2023 model. The crown is the original 1935 Omega.
This piece doesn’t just tell the time – it tells the story.
I am proud how this watch has been transformed back to the same condition as it was when new and it feels like moving back in time by 80 years.
I only use the original Omega watch parts for the replacements. Sometimes I have to wait for a long time before I find the replacement parts at the reasonable price.
It comes in excellent condition for its age. I hope it gets the treatment of being used daily as it deserves.
You can search Omega website and you will find very similar watch in the vintage watches section. It even has the picture remarkably similar to the ones you see here.

Let me tell you a bit about the service I have given to this watch some weeks ago...
The movement has been taken apart completely to the last little screws and tiny parts. The lubricants will dry up and lose their cohesiveness in time. All the parts are cleaned in special chemical solution, TI-BI, that dissolves old lubricants, grime, dust or residue that is still left within the case and movement. This process normally takes just over 24 hours. All the parts are rinse in hexane chemical solution for another 24 hours.

After that, each little part is checked again for any blemishes and faults that can result in the movement not working at 100% correctly. If there are any parts to be replaced this is the time to identify that need. Once all the parts are checked, replaced and rechecked the process of reassembling can begin.
There are different lubricants for the different parts and 'jewels' so the special care needs to be taken. Normally I use the Swiss Moebius 8000/4 a specific manual wind watch oil.
It does take a while... Once everything is back together the electronic instruments are being used to set the timing of the movement to be perfect.
The dial is original and it's the correct one for this model (CK 2023 - you can see the 1941 Omega catalog photo). It's OMEGA signed. Overall, it looks nice aged.

The case is glossy and without signs. It comes with nice crystal and new strap bars.
In the back you can find the case Ref. Numbers "9324744" (accordingly to the age of the movement inside it was manufactured in the 1930s), the Omega triangle sign and the used material "Acier Inoxidable Staybrite".
This is the ONLY CASE for the "CK 2023" model. It fits all Omega 26.5 movements, but according to the Omega catalog the "26.5 SOB T2" movement is the correct pairing.
Finally the movement after reassembling need the bedding in time of couple weeks and readjustment on the timing instrument.

This watch has been worn proudly in the past. It shows you what sort of amazing engineering has gone into it if it can survive in a nearly workable state for so long.
This is really beautiful vintage Omega manual watch being one of the top Omega models ever available to the market.
