This part is also compatible with the RODE NT USB+

This part goes between the mic and the threaded Aluminium "NUT"

Some people have fitted this to other microphones

the hole dia is 26mm and the ring thickness is 9.5mm

The lug thickness is 4.5mm and the lug hole is 4.7mm dia suitable for M4 or M5 nut and bolt 

You can replace the RODE screw with an M5 x 12mm or 15mm long button head.

I have a few of these microphones, and while the replacement service from RODE is Very good ..  

They keep breaking ! 

So Being an industrial Designer in the 4x4 Industry .. I desired to fix this flaw in their design. 

I even offered the design to the RODE Factory .. but was met with distaste.

Not a cheap option .. to make these I could have purchased about 25 Microphones (retail) for the price of the Injection molds !

1./ Nylon 6/10 Flexes not breaks  40 MPa.

2./ The design does not use the weird steel ring to hold it in place 

3./ Easy fitment 

4./ It's TOUGH Really tough .. like roadie tough ..  

You know like door man bouncer, kind o tough.

5./ It uses the tightening KNOB to supply EXTRA strength .. to the mount.

6./ Does not require fitment of the Steel ring retainer. Just pops on !

7./ FEA tested .. to be RUGGED.

Just Dunk this sucker in Hot water (if you are a lady) and push it on .. and it shrinks into place. 

My Son is a Muso and I used to be and I found the NT-USB very good for studio use. 

Really great for computer recording of live acts.

RODE offer great support ..and replacements ..  HOWEVER the mounts keep breaking. 

Well you no longer have to worry about this !  

Just get a blunt knife and lever the old part off the Aluminium threaded section, 

then install this GEM 

You can google Ultraflex4x4 ..  And yes I was making videos and doco's for the 4x4 industry when mine broke .. after only 2 days !

I can only suggest that you buy a bulk lot as they are only 2 grams each and for the same postage 

you can get many and list them locally and make your self some money on the side .
