Here we have a great photo of 2 flying aces from 2 different eras. Eddie Rickenbacker is pictured meeting with Captain James Jabara (center), of Wichita, Kansas. The two men met in the office of General Hoyt S. Vandenberg (right), Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Force on May 31, 1951. Captain Rickenbacker became the first American "Ace" on 30 May 1918 and Captain Jabara became the first American jet "Ace" on 20 May 1951. Our original image dated to May 31, 1951.
