Our fly rod snake guides are manufactured especially for rod builders who want lightweight snake guides and/or are working with small diameter rod blanks. Snake guides are made from .028 inch diameter wire. Guides are hard chrome plated to resist corrosion and prevent grooving.
This original single foot design is becoming a standard in the fly rod building industry. Single foot snake guides are extremely lightweight and flexible, without sacrificing strength. Single foot construction requires 50% fewer guide wraps to interfere with your rod blank action and reduces overall weight. Closed loop design reduces friction for longer casts. Black anodized finish is applied over industrial chrome plating.. Single foot snake guides come with labor saving pre-ground feet.
