BEAUTIFUL POTTERY DIVIDED SERVING BOWL - VERNON WARE BY METLOX - FRUIT BASKET

NOTE:  This is an antique - vintage piece of American Pottery.  Well made and heavy.

Creamy white base with tan brush-strokes in the design. Colorful fruit and blossoms in bottom of bowl.

Divided bowl measures about 11-1/4" long x 8" wide and 2-1/4" deep.

No chips, cracks or repairs.  No utensil marks.

This dish has no mark on the bottom, but is by Vernon Ware and is Fruit Basket design.

Dish shape is called San Fernando and was introduced in 1961.  It features scalloped rims and fluted detailing.

Vernon Ware was made by Metlox.  San Fernando is the name for this dish shape.  Fruit Basket is the name of the design pattern.   Some of my pieces say Vernon Ware, some say Poppy Trail and some say nothing.  Just wanted my buyers to be aware of the differences in the listings.  I am using Vernon Ware, Metlox and Fruit Basket to describe the dish shape, maker and design.  The pictures show the actual dishes and their markings.
