Private Paper Money Ukraine Podolia Note
Rare Set 12 Postcards Ukrainian Russian USSR History, Collection Jewish Private Money Local Currency Banknotes 1918-1920

Today we will recount you about one of the most glorious part of history of our country – local issue of monetary signs, which were in circulation at Podillia, the territory of present Khmelnytskyi Region, in 1918-1920.
When the Russian Empire was being destroyed and Ukraine searched for the ways to independence, monetary “hunger” was present; it caused panic among the population and long lines in banks for obtainment of deposits. The so called local money began to appear in different parts of the country in order to settle that problem. Podillia also had such money. In this collection you can see banknotes, which were used by our ancestors in such towns as Dunaievtsi, Gorodok, Letychiv, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Medzhybozh, Nova Ushytsia, Piliava, Proskuriv, Sataniv, Shepetivka and Trebukhovtsi.
