Adjustable High Voltage Switching Supply KIT - 45V to 190V out, from 12VDC in. 5.5W out. Revision B.

In kit form, you get a DC-to-DC converter, that boosts a nominal 12V in (10V to 18V okay), to your desired voltage, user settable from 45V to 190V. Adjustment is made by an external resistor, RX. If the RX pin (pin 6) is left disconnected, the output will be 45V. If pin 6 (RX) is shorted to circuit common (COM, aka GND), then the output will be 190V. Or choose a voltage in between, with a prescribed RX. The output (with 12V in) will be 5.5 watts. So if you are using 45V, the maximum current that you can draw, before the voltage sags, is 120mA. In contrast, at 190V, the voltage will lose regulation, around 30mA. Limiting factor is the coil. For safety, you should not exceed 5.5W, though its been tested for extended use at over 6W.

It is the same circuit used on the pre-assembled supply, of the same function. However, the pre-assembled supply safely can deliver 6W (7W tested) , while the Kit must be assembled by you, and only delivers 5.5W (with the provided components). 10% less power. Here is the instruction  link to the kit: HV Supply Kit.

Pre-assembled version has not been made in over a year. Not certain when I'll have new inventory.

This is the "original" MC34063 "MK1.5" design copied by many of my competitors, BUT I designed it, over 10 years ago !! I know its strengths & weaknesses, and choose the appropriate components, to minimize failures.

Refer to the instruction page for a list of RX values to get the output voltage you desire: 45V, 60V, 90V, 150V, 170V, 190V & more.

A Pulse output, has also been brought out. This output allows you to add extra voltages, with only a few additional components. So if you need a doubled, or tripled output, for running a dekatron. And/or if you need a negative voltage, you can derive one simply from this supply.

This kit comes with all components and the PCB.You must assemble the kit. Make sure not to confuse D2 (1N914) with D1(BAV21). They are both glass diodes. D1 has some paper labels on its leads.

Board measures 1.2in x 1.2in (30 x 30mm).

All kits come in individual anti-static bags. They are shipped that way to the customer.

It's a "KIT" !!! That means you get a bare board, and parts. You must solder it together ! That's what KIT means !

This is Revision B kit (NK01B - 5.5W). Replaces Revision A kit (NK01A). Functionally the same, but smaller board.

Shipping Weight: 3 oz

If postage looks high, place the items in the eBay "Cart", and request an invoice from me. The shipping calculator, is usually not accurate on multiple items.

ALL INTERNATIONAL BUYERS MUST CONTACT ME TO BE INVOICED WITH PROPER SHIPPING  !!

MINIMUM SHIPPING IS: $9.50US to CANADA, AND $13.25US TO ALL OTHER COUNTRIES, OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES.

Kits listed are those I have both "In-Stock", and "Kitted". Ready to ship. I have all rights to this design, and have boards, and parts for more kits in my inventory. I only list those ready to ship. If you need more, just wait, or contact me, if you need more than those listed.

Items shipped to your eBay registered address (not Paypal's). Contact me using eBay's messaging system. I DO NOT read my email. Its used only as the Paypal payment link.

Domestic shipments automatically have "Delivery Confirmation", which essentially is a tracking method. International shipments will only have their "Customs Declaration" number listed, unless the foreign buyer chooses "Registered Mail". With "Registered Mail", the package can be tracked. "Registered Mail", will incur and additional $12.00 US to the total cost. If you want this option please contact me and wait to be invoiced. If you just pay for it (without being invoiced), the item will be shipped without tracking. eBay only required that I (the seller) prove that I shipped it. A "Customs Declaration" will satisfy that requirement. Its your nickel. From NOW ON, if its lost and you DID NOT pay for registered mail, then THAT'S IT !

There has been a history of delayed packages to some European Union countries. Actually, only Germany. Parcels to Germany will now have a "Packing List Envelope" adhered to the outside, to appease German Customs. If you are in Germany, your package can be held up in Customs for up to 6 weeks !

Please pay or contact me about payment within three days after the end of the auction. Paypal preferred. Domestic buyers contact for other payment methods. Paypal ONLY from foreign buyers. If you are sending your payment thru the mail, please email me that you are doing so. I have recently cancelled my mental telepathy services, so I can no longer read your minds.
