Pirates of the Caribbean is a series of fantasy adventure comedy films produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and based on the Walt Disney theme park ride of the same name. The first one in 2003 was The Curse of the Black Pearl. The second in a planned trilogy came out on 2006: Dead Men's Chest. At World's End was released in 2007 and the popularity of Jack Sparrow and crew was cemented in the American culture. Disney has long used PEZ as a marketing tool and a Pirates of the Caribbean was issued in 2008 to follow along with the popularity of the movies. Three characters were created - Jack Sparrow which looks like Johnny Depp, the actor who portrayed him; Will Turner who looks like Orlando Bloom; and Davy Jones who sort of looks like Bill Nighy who portrayed him.
