offered for sale is this extremely rare example of an art nouveau jugendstil letter rack, it is enhanced with wonderfully executed stylised pine cone & needle design and whiplash strapwork,made during the secessionist jugendstil period of the early 1900's and easily recognisable as coming from the world famous wmf factory in germany around the same time that the portfolio of designs by archibald knox,these designs formed the basis for the tudric & cymric ranges of art nouveau pewter & silver ware retailed by liberty & co were being produced in england,it has been gently polished throughout its life and as a result there is absolutely no loss of definition to the design elements,it is fully marked with the WMF stamps to the back and the design number 229 to the base, it measures 4.25" tall and 4.75" across  the base,this piece is circa 1906,overall condition should be considered as excellent.it is well over100 years old and may have minor signs of age & usage.i will be listing other pieces from the pine cone desk set and will be happy to combine postage.
