Pin Spanner Wrench for South Bend Lathes

 By ILION Industrial Services, LLC

New companion tool to our rebuild kits and manuals for South Bend Lathes.  Please see our other sale listings for additional accessories parts and books.

If you have ever tried to remove the cross feed screw or the compound screw on a South Bend Lathe without the proper tool, you've probably said a few choice words about the design.  This brand new hinged pin spanner wrench is the correct tool for removing the OEM collars from the saddle and compound body so that the feed screws can be extracted.  The pin on the spanner engages a hole in the collar and automatically adjusts to the collar diameter.  The wrench may be used to remove any collar size from 3/4" diameter up to 2" diameter so it will work on other lathes with similar locking collars.  All pin spanner wrenches have precision ground 5/32" diameter pins and are made specifically for SouthBend 9" and 10" lathes.  The spanners are chrome vanadium forged steel for long life and they are fully heat treated and plated to resist rust and corrosion.  This tool is a must have for any South Bend owner so pick up one while they last.  (Note that the saddle and cross feed screw in the photo above are for demonstration only and are not included in the sale).
