CLEAR SCRATCHPLATE/PICKGUARD FOR MUSICMAN STINGRAY BASS.

These scratchplates are brand new and come with a protective covering to stop any scratches in transit.
They are made to fit the later model of Musicman Stingray, with the cutout for the truss rod adjuster at the end of the neck.
They are a simple replacement, just unscrew original and screw the new one into place.

These look great with any colour of Stingray, as they show the full colour of your instrument, or grain of the wood, as in photo. (My own instrument is an oiled finish, and consequently the natural wood colouring has yellowed over time - 18 years - due to exposure to the elements. Underneath the scratchplate has been protected, and is therefore a lighter colour. This would not be the case on a laquered instrument, or a coloured finish.)
Another use for these scratchplates would be to place a picture/photo underneath, or draw/paint your own picture on the back of it, thereby creating your own customised scratchplate. This would be protected behind the plate, and would not be affected by playing. (Other photos give examples of this.)

They also fit the Stingray SUB Bass, but will not fit the OLP Stingray Model exactly, as the holes are not the same. If you wished to use the holes on the scratchplate on the OLP model, then you would need to make some new holes on the body of the bass. These would not be seen, as the plate would cover them, but there is a very small gap between the end of the neck and the plate (only 1 or 2mm).
These are not made by Musicman, but are a direct replacement at a fraction of the cost.

Please note - I have had several cases open against me with customers saying they have received a blue one, or a green one by mistake.
This is the protective covering and NOT the colour of the scratchplate.
The covering needs to be removed from BOTH sides of the scratchplate.
