TYPED LETTER SIGNED BY T.S. ELIOT WHERE HE CONTRIBUTES TO NEVILLE BRAYBROOKE’S T.S. ELIOT: A SYMPOSIUM FOR HIS SEVENTIETH BIRTHDAY

Eliot contributes to a symposium for his 70th birthday: “No need to hesitate: I expect to be reminded, because otherwise I forget under pressure of other concerns.  I enclose the cheque herewith, and I hope that you will be able to satisfy the printers until you have been able to assemble other funds to carry on with.” Braybrooke spent years contacting several prominent American and English authors to write stories on their relationships with Eliot for Braybrooke’s work T.S. Eliot: A Symposium for His Seventieth Birthday.  In addition to T.S. Eliot, Djuna Barnes, Iris Murdoch, John Betjeman, and many others contributed to the symposium.
