Marantz is in good cosmetic and working condition, except for the 4.5VDC input, which may or may not work (terminal looks unclean - I haven't tried it). It does, however, work with batteries / a 5V adapter (ie. phone charger) clipped onto the battery terminals (this is how it was used in my possession). Rechargeable batteries could be another good option for greater portability. Besides that power jack and 1/4 missing rubber foot, all's good. One last issue (if you want to call it that); There is a mysterious (very quiet) rattle that was noticed when shaking the machine (why shake it?), but this does not in any way effect how it works, which is good.

Features :
variable tone and pitch pots in addition to 2 speed settings(standard & low).
Accepts 1/8" or XLR mic input.
Use it for experimental music, field recordings, etc.
One thing to be careful of, is that radical manipulation of the speed settings can warp tape, so don't mess w/ your special tapes this way.
Thanks & enjoy!
