Here we have an absolutely stunning poster from Currier and Ives. "The Rail Road Suspension Bridge", dated to 1856 although ours has been reproduced from a later printing. The bride was near Niagara Falls and spanned 822 feet, 240 feet above water. The bridge was designed by John A. Roebling whose most famous achievement is the Brooklyn Bridge. The falls can be seen in the background, along with the "Maid Of The Mist" navigating the waterway. The artwork was by noted Currier & Ives employee, Charles Parsons. Our posters are shipped in sturdy mailing tubes, fully insured!

This poster is printed on heavy, 230 gsm (10 pt cover), premium matte art paper. Posters are centered on full sized paper to accommodate readily available frames or custom matting. The image size refers specifically to the artwork itself, not the size of the paper it is printed on. Therefore, the paper size is always larger than the image size.  All posters have a minimum 1/4" white border.
