Here we have a poster issued in 2006 for Black History Month by the DEOMI. This is one of a yearly observance poster commencing in 2002 and officially issued by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute. The theme for 2006 was "Reaching Out to Youth: A Strategy for Excellence Through Black Role Models and Mentors", and featured a children reading on a stack of books with such titles as Oprah Winfrey, Rosa Parks, Tuskegee Airmen and Coretta Scott King.
