WWII Silver Halide Photo 503 PIR Airborne Paratroopers At Noemfoor Island

All photographs are processed at a professional photo lab and have standard white borders unless otherwise stated.  We DO NOT sell desktop printer, discount chain or kiosk processed  photos.

Here we have a black-and-white photo of US Paratroopers landing at Kamiri Strip on Noemfoor Island off the western coast of New Guinea as a Boeing B-17 keeps watch above. We believe these are troopers of the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment, of which two airborne battalions jumped onto Kamiri Strip on July 3, 1944.
